How We Rank Signal Providers
The same five criteria run against every service, in the same order, with nothing bent to fit. A service is marked “verified” on a criterion only where a buyer could confirm the evidence firsthand, never on the strength of the provider's own word.
Five criteria, each scored as met, partial, or not. Position is set first by how many a service clears outright, and where two services clear the same number, by how strong the partial evidence behind each one is. Nothing is nudged by advertising money, no tier can be bought, and judgement never enters beyond applying the criteria.
The Five Criteria
1. Verified Track Record
A multi-year personal trading history reviewed by a named independent auditor. Must include annual return, maximum drawdown, Sharpe ratio, win rate, and trade count. A competition result alone is not sufficient; a self-published statement alone is not sufficient. Both a multi-year period and an independent reviewer are required for “verified” status.
2. Public Methodology
Published signal logic accessible before subscription: what conditions trigger a signal, the intended holding horizon, how entries and exits are determined, and what grade or conviction tags mean in practice. “Proprietary algorithm” descriptions without testable framework elements receive “partial” or “unverified” status.
3. Transparent Pricing
All subscription tiers, costs, and trial terms visible on a public page without registration. Hidden pricing, post-registration reveals, or “contact for pricing” on standard consumer tiers all fail this criterion.
4. Independent Audit
A named third party with no commercial relationship to the provider reviewed the underlying records for a defined period and published the result. A platform leaderboard is not an audit. A testimonial is not an audit. A named auditor's signed attestation is.
5. Cryptographic Timestamping
Each individual signal is SHA-256 hashed and the hash is anchored to an immutable public ledger at publication time. This makes retroactive alteration of the signal record computationally detectable. As of 2026, this is the rarest criterion — only one service in this guide satisfies it.
Status Levels

What this methodology does not assess
This guide does not rank on: predicted future performance, market coverage, signal frequency, customer service ratings, or community size. These factors matter to buyers but are either inherently forward-looking (and therefore unverifiable) or highly subjective. The five criteria above are all about what has already happened and can be checked.
